In-season Baseball/Softball Training
(12U players and older)
Baseball & Softball athletes work SO HARD all winter to improve their speed, strength, mobility, and agility. Unfortunately, all of the progress is lost within 4 weeks if they don’t KEEP working DURING the season.
The GameShape Training in-season program is specifically designed to maintain the progress attained during the winter without taking an extraordinary amount of time.
Don’t take ‘two steps forward & one step back’ this season, keep the progress going into the season and beyond.
Optimized Athletic Movement – Develop explosive lateral quickness, first-step acceleration, and controlled deceleration to improve overall movement efficiency in all planes.
Agility & Reaction Speed – Sharpen neuromuscular response times with drills designed to enhance foot speed, directional changes, and split-second decision-making.
Explosive Power Output – Increase lower-body drive, rotational torque, and upper-body force production using a strategic combination of plyometrics, lifting variations, and resistance training.
Strength & Mobility Optimization – Build functional strength and joint resilience with targeted mobility work, ensuring durability and peak performance throughout the season.
Transferable Athletic Gains – Maximize energy transfer for improved acceleration, deceleration, and rotational power—key factors in optimizing sprint speed, throwing velocity, and bat speed.
Sustainable Performance & Recovery – Strengthen the kinetic chain to support endurance, injury resistance, and season-long performance longevity.
Testing - We begin with baseline force output testing—measuring upper and lower body power, rotational strength, and vertical/horizontal force production. Athletes are re-screened every 4-5 weeks to ensure measurable progress.
Our progressive, data-driven program applies science-backed training principles to develop real strength, speed, and athleticism.
PROGRAM DETAILS
Athletes will have access to 12 training sessions between April 8th-June 28th:
Wednesdays:
April 8th - June 10th: 5:15PM - 6:00PM; June 17th & 24th: 10:30AM - 11:15AM
Sundays
April 12th - June 28th: 8:00AM - 8:45AM
